operant and classical conditioning

1) First, study the materials presented in the course and text on classical conditioning. Initially familiarize yourself with the basic terminology. Next, think of an example in your life where you were classically conditioned. Remember, classical conditioning is not operant conditioning!  Avoid using terms such as reward and punishment, i.e., classical conditioning plays an important role in emotional responses, such as arousal and anxiety. You must clearly indicate the US, UR, CS, and CR in your example.

2) Study the materials presented in the course and text on operant conditioning. Familiarize yourself with the basic terminology before proceeding. Share with the class examples in your life where you were operantly conditioned in the following ways:

a) positively reinforced

b) negatively reinforced
